GUATEMALA - Coffee beans

This coffee from Guatemala is characterized by light grape acidity, light floral notes and a full flavor of cocoa.

Guatemala SHB (Strictly Hard Bean) is a coffee variety grown in Guatemala, a country with a long tradition of growing and producing coffee. This coffee is often considered one of the best in Latin America and is very popular among coffee lovers around the world.

Guatemala has a soft but full flavor with notes of cocoa, fruit and flowers. The taste shows a higher acidity, which gives the coffee a citrusy and refreshing taste. The coffee has a full body and a strong flavor that allows it to stand out even in combination with milk, making it a great choice for preparing coffee drinks with milk. Guatemala has a jasmine aroma, with subtle notes of fruit and chocolate.

What does SHB mean?

The term Strictly Hard Bean (SHB) refers to coffee beans that have been grown at an altitude above 1350 meters. This altitude is considered optimal for growing coffee, as there are favorable climatic conditions for the growth of the coffee plant, such as constant temperatures, sufficient rainfall and good soil quality.

Coffee beans that are grown at this altitude have a denser and harder texture because they have to overcome more resistance to reach the water and nutrients they need to grow. This harder surface of the beans leads to a slower and more even process of ripening and flavor development, resulting in coffee with a smoother taste and aroma.

The use of the term SHB serves as a mark of quality for coffee from Guatemala and other countries that specialize in growing coffee at altitude.
