TURKISH COFFEE
During the preparation of this method, a larger amount of caffeine is also released. Despite this, this coffee is still very popular in the Czech Republic and can be found in most cafes and restaurants. Although "turek" is sometimes considered a typically Czech coffee preparation, a similar method is used all over the world. In the English language, this coffee drink is referred to as cowboy coffee, but it may or may not be strained before serving. In Norway, it is referred to as kokekaffe "boiled coffee" and is a traditional method, especially before the spread of electric coffee machines in the 1960s. Since it is often prepared during camping, it is also referred to as turkaffe "tourist coffee". The World Kokekaffe Championship is being held in Oslo. Coffee prepared in this way is also used in the preparation of a drink called karsk, consisting of single malt and coffee.
