Brazil Fazenda Sertão - Coffee Beans
A pleasant and balanced cup of Brazilian coffee, with a very subtle nuance of citrus, full of sweetness and chocolate.
The history of Fazenda Sertão merges with the first steps of coffee cultivation in Carmo de Minas. José Isidro Pereira was born into a family of the first generation of coffee growers in the region. José Isidro grew up and studied dentistry, but after the death of his mother, he returned to Carmo de Minas and became the sole heir of Fazenda Sertão. Today, Fazenda Sertão is cared for by his wife Nazareth and his children and grandchildren. Fazenda Sertão is located in Carmo de Minas at an altitude of over 1,000 m. The average annual temperature is 18 °C. The crops are grown on slopes with a slope of up to 50%. This is an important measure to avoid frosts, which are common in the region in winter and affect the health of the trees, and to ensure more uniform ripening and protection against fungal infections. All of these steps ultimately lead to better final grain quality.
